Obituary for
Michael Kenneth Sutter
Michael Kenneth Sutter, 65, passed on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mike was born on October 19, 1950 in St. Louis City to Phillip and Margaret Sutter.
Mike was the youngest of four siblings. Survived by his sister, Gloria Milan. Preceded in death by his sister, Jean (Chuck) LoGrasso and brother,Donald Sutter.
Mike served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War as a Hospital Corpsmen. He was responsible for providing medical care to his fellow servicemen and women. A fitting position for Mike as we all know.
Mike loved many things - taking his boat or Harley out for ride, fishing, eating pastries, a good song to dance, a stiff drink or beer, watching Cops on TV - but most importantly, he loved life, made the best of every moment and cared dearly for his family, friends and dogs.
His wife, Mary Sutter, was his world. He was pillar of strength and love for his daughters - Jessie Rossi and Lisa Sutter - and as a father-in-law to his son-in-law Rob Rossi as well as a stepfather to his stepsons - Nathan Dycus and Peter Dycus. He was the playful and jolly PaPa for his grandchildren - Isabella Rossi, Cameron Sherman, Robbie Rossi, Jackie Dycus and Ollie Dycus. He was early morning walker and belly rubber for his dogs - Sunny and Precious. He was “Captain Mike” to neighborhood kids that adored him. He was comedic relief to everyone in his life. He was, without doubt, loved by all.
He was loving Uncle, Cousin, Brother-in-law, and friend to many.
The family is requesting that no one buy flowers but instead donate the money, on the behalf of Mike Sutter, to one of the two organizations:
