Obituary for George Joseph Stern

George Joseph Stern
Wednesday, October, 5, 2016. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Stern (nee Ainslie) for 65 years; loving father of Christopher (Karin), Mark (Lynn Thilman), Richard, and Jenifer (Bob Quier) ; proud and adored grandfather of ten; dear friend to many. George never knew a stranger, just friends he hadn't met yet.
After a distinguished career in the military, and McDonnell Douglas, George became an active member of the community, volunteering at many organizations.
A memorial service will be Sat., Nov. 19, 11:00am Webster Groves Christian Church, 1320 W Lockwood Ave, St. Louis, MO 63122. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the St. Louis Symphony, Attn: Office of Philanthropy
