Obituary for Martha Z. Ohlemeyer

Martha Z. Ohlemeyer passed away peacefully Friday December 2, 2016. Dear wife of the late Robert H. Ohlemeyer, mother to sons Robert H. Ohlemeyer, Jr. and David W. (Chris) Ohlemeyer, proud grandmother of Michael P. Ohlemeyer; loving sister of Anita Andrew; loving Aunt to Ann (Bill) Haack, Bill (Donna) Frielingsdorf, Sally (George) Nikolajevich, John (Ruth) Ohlemeyer, Kim (Maryellen) Ohlemeyer, Art Andrew, Phil Andrew, Sunni (Jack) Houston, and Dan (Denise) Andrew; friend and influence to many.

Martha was born in DeSoto, Missouri, the daughter of the late Wilford and Rhoda (nee Coxwell) Zollman. She spent most of her adult life in St. Louis, where, following in her mother’s footsteps, she studied art at Washington University and enjoyed a prolific career in fine art. Martha worked in multiple media, but her first love was watercolor. She was an active member of the St. Louis Artists Guild, the Academy of Professional Artists and Media 9.

The family thanks the staff at Laclede Groves for their wonderful care and compassion.
