Obituary for Robert A. Soskin

Soskin, Robert on Tuesday January 10, 2017. Beloved husband of Dorothy Soskin (nee Hughes) and the late Sue Anderson. Father of Tim (Jessica) Hanrahan, Galen (Melissa) Hanrahan, Michael (Heather) Hanrahan, Leslie (Robert) Wareheim, Alan (Melinda) Soskin, Claude Anderson, and grandfather of 11.
Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised by a wonderful mother Rita Soskin. He graduated from Sullivan High School in 1949, received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northwest University in 1953, and his PH.D in Psychology at Washington University in 1959. Bob served as a Clinical Psychologist with the V.A. for 34 years. In retirement he was a volunteer Oasis tutor and served as a driver for CORP. Bob was a gentle, kind, and sweet man, a passionate advocate for progressive causes, and a man of deep faith who was blessed to have many friends and family. P.S Bob finally go to see his Cubs win!
Visitation Thursday Jan 19th, 10am until time of funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon at Bopp Chapel. Interment private. Memorial contributions appreciated to a Charity of your choice. www.boppchapel.com
