Obituary for Eugene Norman Sauer

Eugene N. Sauer, age 86, passed away on August 18th, 2017.
Beloved husband of 59 years to late Lisbeth Hill Sauer, son of parents late Walter and Ruth Sauer, brother of late Gordon Sauer (Dorothy). He is survived by his children Stephen, Cheri, and Eric (Jean). He was the loving grandfather of Michelle (Jay), Frank, Samantha, Stephen, and Sarah.
Gene attended the Indiana University, and he was a member of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. During his college years, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Gene lived in Kirkwood for over 50 years. He loved going to Kirkwood Park, listening to Kirkwood High School’s football games on the radio, and singing in Trinity Lutheran Church’s choir.
He loved his family and was a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and admired him.
The memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 820 Lockett Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122, on Saturday August 26th. Visitation will be at 10:00am, and the service will be at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
