Robert Manchester Rowe,
Passed away at age 86 on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Beloved husband of 54 years to the late Barbara Jo Rowe (nee Sweeney); loving father of Sandra Elizabeth (Doug) Riggs and Susan Catherine (Michael Jennings) Rowe; devoted grandfather of Tex and Graham Riggs, Alexandria (Zachary) Lewis, and Frances Massa; great-grandfather of Elliot Lewis; brother of William (Rosetta) Rowe and Eleanor (Hayden) Holmberg; dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Robert was an Eagle Scout, served in the US Air Force and the Air National Guard. He was a 40 year employee of AT&T (Southwestern Bell). Robert was a member of the Telecom Pioneers (retirement club of AT&T) and also a founding member of the Jefferson Barracks Telephone Museum. Robert was a life-long movie buff and sports fan, especially his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. He was a dedicated Telecom Pioneer volunteer and loved spending time with his family and large circle of friends.
Memorial Visitation from 4:00-8:00pm on Friday, September 8, at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., in Kirkwood, MO. In lieu of flowers, favorite charities include: Jefferson Barracks Telephone Museum, American Cancer Society, The Boy Scouts of America or the charity of one’s choice. www.boppchapel.com
