After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Henry was drafted into the U. S. Army and stationed in Southeast Asia during the Korean War. Following his professional baseball career, Henry returned to St. Louis to begin a lengthy career in the hardware industry which spanned more than five decades. He was honored to serve as the first and only two-term President of the American Hardware Manufacturers Association.
Henry is a survived by the love of his life, Marguerite, his four children, Janet Kendra (Pam), Ted (Nicole), Terry (Tammy), Andy (Brandy) and his “grands,” Hank, Lauren, Dani and Anna Grace. He is also survived by his brother Peter (Jean) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Henry was a member of the Theta Xi fraternity at Washington University, the Republican National Committee, Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church and an avid golfer.
