Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church, she died peacefully with a smile on her face Monday, July 10th, 2017. Cathy was born on April 28th, 1956 and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, the middle of three daughters born to Katherine Albrecht Gunn and the late Richard Dawson Gunn. She is preceded in death by her older sister, Ellen Gunn LaBelle (Jim). She is survived by her loving husband Jim Kleinschmidt of 35 years, daughter Laura Kleinschmidt Banks (Patrick), son Kevin Kleinschmidt and sister Betsy Gunn Carlsen (Danny)

. Her friends and family were the true joy of her life. She was a beloved aunt, godmother and sister-in-law to many. Cathy remains a huge Cardinals fan and was a devoted piano teacher for over 40 years. Her unshakable faith in God and devotion to the Blessed Mother inspired so many who knew her

. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the remarkable life of this incredible woman. Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 16th at Bopp Chapel. A funeral mass is planned for 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 17th at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Des Peres, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness (SLOCA) are appreciated in Cathy’s memory.
