Raymond Edward "Bud"  Lange Jr.
Lange, Raymond Edward, Jr. “Bud,” age 75, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, January 5, 2018. Beloved husband of Janine LeMay-Lange. Dear father of Trey Lange, Kim (Andy) Seers, and Danielle (Landon) Nalley. Dear “Popo” to Jake, Drew, Hadley, Henry, Talie, Campbell, and Gentry. Dear uncle of Stacey (Matt Rousseau) Clinton and Chris Clinton. Dear great-uncle to Izzy. Dear step-father of Daedra Biondo. Dear step-grandfather of Samantha. Dear friend to many.
Bud was born on February 28, 1942 to Doris and Raymond E. Lange (of Loy-Lange Box Company) in St. Louis, MO. In 1960, he graduated high school from The Principia School and then went on to graduate from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 1964. In college, he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and of the Wash U soccer team. In the early 1970s, he became an owner of LeLu Metalcraft & Patio Shop on Manchester Road and continued to own the store for 40 years until it’s closing in 2011. He fought a long 15 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease and was involved in clinical trials and research for Parkinsons through the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Bud had a passion for sailing, biking, scuba diving, waterskiing, boating, cars, photography and his dogs. He loved to vacation in the Cayman Islands and at the Lake of the Ozarks. His last 5 years of life were spent in Sarasota, Florida. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by friends and family.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 17, 10:00 a.m. at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road in Kirkwood. Interment Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association. www.boppchapel.com
