Obituary for Denny Lee Yancey

Denny Lee Yancey
Yancey, Denny Lee, December 29, 1945-January 9, 2018. Yancey, as he was called by many, passed away as peacefully as he lived. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Yancey, father, Charles Ewing, and a brother, Donald A. Bailey. His legacy is carried on by his three daughters, Marki Greer, Kelli Davis and Machelle Cornell; he is also survived by his twin sister Denise Jones, sisters Carol J. Ewing and Gwen M. Yancey, brothers Gerald A. Yancey, Ronald L. Yancey and Richard Yancey, 12 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Denny served in the Army during Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service to his country. His family will miss him dearly as a father, brother, uncle and friend. You touched the hearts of many and we thank each and every one of you who reached out in support of his family.
Mr. Yancey’s final walk with all of his loved ones will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be given to an American Legion Post of one’s choice.
